Handbuilding, Sculpting, and Wheel Throwing
No you don't throw a wheel in the classes. Wheel throwing is a term potters use for producing pottery on the potters wheel. We do throw pots though. Not in a literal sense but again throwing a pot is to produce it on the potters wheel. Students will learn the basics of handbuidling, sculpting, and doing wheel work during this 3 week long 15 day ClayCamp. ALL ARE WELCOME! Children, Youth, and Adults. Bring the entire family. Find out more on whose is behind ClayCamp:
What will the ClayCamp experience be like?
Learn the tools, equipment, terminology, initial potters wheel experience, handbuilding, basic sculpting, and the first half of a team handbuilding assignment.
Continue the team handbuidng assignment, back to the potters wheel, trimming wheel thrown projects, drying, and loading a bisque firing in the kiln.
Learn the types of firing, glaze techniques, glazing your bisque fired pieces, loading the kiln, and glaze firing.

WHO ARE WE?
Potter, Pastor, And The Arts
“ART IS A BRIDGING LANGUAGE that knows no race, no gender, no social economics, no culture, no people group separate from another. Art bridges us and binds us all, in some way. We either appreciate some form of art or we create art."
Ceramic Artist Dan Goddard
The Arts Church
This form of Christian community outreach isn’t new, but existed during the times of the artisan monk. The discovery was, in part, to draw people in so that they had a relationship with those people. To have this relationship with the people they had to show the people they had something of value to contribute and even at times give away. Today’s world and culture changes much more rapidly and even exponentially. Thus the demand for change in the Christian institutions today is even greater. Out of the desire to provide relevant community services and outreach Creator’s Heart was born. Please join us for our Sunday services and Weekly classes.

Our Furture... Invest In Young People
As adults, we realize that the real future lies in the hands of our children and grandchildren. Our first priority should be the nurturing and education of America’s youth. Art is a powerful tool and even a language. Creator’s Heart uses the language of art educationally, connectionally, and to bring hope and healing to young and old alike... providing art classess to under-served communities and beyond.
